This is going to be a short one. Most of the things I am writing at the moment are at a point where sharing them would spoil a lot of the story for you.
Stephanie is about to do A BIG THING
Some weird poetry stuff is going down (I am still surprised at how many people loved the last one. I actually forgot I’m a semi competent poet)
The magical horse from WhoKilledTheHumans is about to poo out one of the secrets to life’s greatest mysteries.
Lax Morales just tore someone’s arm off in an argument.
And Galina Agafonov, who some of you might remember, is about to be blasted into space.
Actually, I can spoil a bit of that. Here’s a scene from chapter 2.
This is my favourite book cover so far.
CHAPTER 2
Galina danced with Jeven, adjusting her feet in a slightly shuffle, spinning herself around. Later they laughed and she grabbed onto a lamppost, spinning herself around, stumbling onto a new trajectory. She went off course, her glittery high heels scraping now into loose gravel, grass, and the edges of the academy pond. Above them, above the simulators and the desert and the eagles and the sky and the impossible membrane of Earth’s atmosphere, the faint light of Jupiter pulsed in the sky.
“I am so drunk,” Galina said. “It is like I could trip and slip,” she laughed. “And fall and fall and fall until I rolled into her, up there.”
“Well don’t. No skinny dipping, remember,” Jeven said. He held his friend back from the pond’s edge, watching the moonlight cascading off the water.
“Each photon a stone skipped. Each light a new trip,” he said.
“Always the poet,” Galina wrapped her arms around him. He rejected her drunken attempt to kiss him.
“Maybe tomorrow,” he said. He stood stoic, helping her put a high heel back on.

SALES PITCH
Just kidding. I wanted to thank you all for the kind comments and emails on my recent posts, primarily the serious poem and the post where I told you about my book being stolen. I’m still pretty upset about it, which you may have noticed as I didn’t check the spelling in the last post.
Anyway, thank you for supporting all the weird sides of me. I’ve got more poetry on the way, but in case it isn’t your thing, it’s on an in-built subletter, so you can pick and choose if you see that alongside the sci-fi, or not.
I hope most of you stick around on the poetry though, as it will get sci-fi from time to time.
