Gamma Day - An interview with Samak Press
Recently, I got published again. My good friend John Coon, of STRANGE NEW WORLDS, wanted to interview me about my story GAMMA DAY, which just about swooped in at the last minute before the deadline, and fortunately was accepted into RIPPLES IN SPACE, the new Samak Press book.
Gamma Day is a short story about two sisters surviving in a post-post-post-post apocalyptic London. You know how apocalypses are. You wait ages for one, and then three turn up.
Since it’s a near-future London there are no more phone thefts because the phone thieves got eaten by aliens. But there are aliens, and since they’ve run out of thieves they’re out to eat anyone else. There’s also a subterranean shrine to Freddie Mercury and David Bowie, a whale skeleton, and some glowing alien moss which might actually be on the human’s side.
