Yeah I don't want to email people too often, I'm thinking of just having Monday and Friday being the days I let myself send stuff out. I'm used to social media, not newsletters!
No idea what frequency people want so your feedback is really useful :)
Personally, I think twice a week is enough, except for some special announcements, as I commented earlier. I for one, receive more than 100 emails everyday and I can barely keep up. Most of the times I just open and delete the books promo newsletters. I spend nearly 3/4 hours per day going through newsletters and I cannot afford to do that, what with the long naps of 3/4 hours per day, the fuzzy and drowsy brain because of the opiates, liquid morphine and the pills for the legs pains because of the back, I can barely read then! Lol. You can imagine how many authors’ mailing lists I’m subscribed to. More than 200 authors newsletters! Thankfully some authors only send emails once a month, others twice a month, some weekly and quite a few daily! Or the others that send twice a day! Now that is too much! 😂 And no long emails, please.
Thank you for asking our opinion on the matter, Phillip.
It’s nice to talk with you, you are open and honest and nearer, as in familiar. I already consider you my friend.
I should sleep now, it’s 02:25! And have to get up early, at 07:30. Eek! 🤦♀️😄 Goodnight, my friend. Sleep well. 🧡🤗
The long emails is an interesting point! I was thinking of going down to one every week here at most, having any tertiary updates (podcast appearances, standup clips) listed in bullet point at the end.
Ultimately, I am bringing my talk show back and hosting it here, so I want that to be the main thing.
With that in mind, I have considered creating a special, separate newsletter just for THE STEPHANIE GLITCH because I think it might be a good vehicle to promote it without overloading people here (some might not care about TSG, some might love it and not care about the podcast).
Today is fine by me, especially when it’s about announcing something important, then you can make exceptions. ☺️
I didn’t know you had Covid, Phillip. I’m so glad to know you’re recovering. Sending Prayers, Love and Light for a speedy healing. 🙏🧡🌟
Thank you Meenaz, I appreciate it :)
