I have a really cool thing to send to you all in the morning, but this particular post is a bit sales pitchy so I’m sending it on its own. That way you can ignore this bit and just read the other one, if you’ve already got WBTH.
WHO BUILT THE HUMANS? (THE FIRST ONE) is only 99c until September 1st.
If you click that link, you then want to go to any of the sublinks that says ‘eBook (everywhere)’ because this deal is available everywhere apart from Amazon, where the price just went back up.
So, eBook anywhere apart from Amazon = 0.99
Waterstones, Barnes and Noble, your ex-wife’s refrigerator, it’s in there for some reason.
The paperback is not 0.99 because it costs $5 to print each time.
The 99c eBook discount is running to promote WBTH2. After this, it’ll go back up to 3.99, because that’s how much it’s really worth. It is, after all, the world’s first eBook that can be measured by weight.
You can also find WTBH2 with that button up there. WBTH2 is a sequel and prequel to the delirious universes in WBTH1, as well as an exploration into some new cosmoses. It’s also a mutation on the theme. This time, rather than picking a universe, you get to decide whether the book responds to an idea with serious sci-fi reverence, or deranged zany satire. You’ll be pitched an idea at the start of each chapter, such as “What if mushrooms were smarter than us?” and you then choose SERIOUS or SILLY. Youre choices influence how the book ends.
(You may notice I’m playing around with branding here on Substack. What was ‘the weird worlds of Phillip Carter’ is now ‘sci-fi and comedy for humans’. This is because when you see a profile on substack, it starts with “PERSON writes THING” so if my thing is called sci-fi and comedy for humans, it makes it obvious what I write.
That’s the idea anyway.
See you later!
