Who Built The Humans? (and 3 more books) are FREE this weekend. Links within.
Oct 29 - Oct 31 for WBTH. Oct 29th - Nov 1st for the rest. Don't miss out!
I don’t know why the Dalek is there, it just felt right at the time.
Subscribing is free and means you’ll see lots more free stories in the future.
MY FOUR FREE BOOKS
They’re available right now, and links are below, but first.
In my last post about giveaways I had a poll asking who might write a review. I understand now that it wasn’t clear that those reviews are always optional. If you do write one, which you don’t have to, you can post it wherever you like. I just prefer Amazon because that’s where most of my new readers are.
You can find all four books through this button, which takes you to my Linktree. Altnernatively, if you keep scrolling through this newsletter, you’ll find a brief synopsis for each book, and at the bottom there are direct text links to each book that you can copy directly into your browser, in case the linktree goes funny.
(You’ll notice the WBTH link says ‘buy now’ but it will definitely be free this weekend)
Please note that Start and End dates of a free day are midnight Pacific Time.
That’s 8am UK time.
WBTH is available Oct 29th to Oct 31st.
The other three are available for an extra day, Oct 29th to Nov 1st.
WHO BUILT THE HUMANS?
Available Oct 29 through to Oct 31 on Amazon.
★★★★★ "Incredibly weird, laugh out loud funny and very clever."
A weird ‘novelthology’ of mindbending Science Fiction and dark Sci-Fi comedy. Who Built The Humans? is my debut book. I was self-pub by choice for this, choosing not to query it at all and utilise all the creative freedom that that choice gave me.
The result is a collection of 11 universes that is 125,000 words long, hence the ‘novelthology’ neologism. In one universe you’ll meet a superintelligent AI on a mission to bring her pet humans back from extinction, in another you’ll meet a little boy called God (no relation) who causes trouble wherever he goes.
This is a book that is not afraid of satirizing itself. What that means is that a front-to-back read will give you a book that parodies its own theories and stories, and a universe-by-universe read will feel like eleven shorter books that complement each other. Some will be comedy, some will be existential Sci-Fi, and a handful will be both.
It’s weird. You should get it.
52 WEEKS OF HORROR
Available Oct 29 through to Nov 1 on Amazon.
The second book, 52 WEEKS OF HORROR, is my debut writing prompts book. It’s inspired by my Creative Writing degrees, and contains weekly and monthly questions that should rattle some stories out of you whilst you work on the prompts. It also has a really nice cover. It’s designed to be used for an entire year, with an emphasis on drafting and reflection. If it’s successful, I’ll make some more. I’m half way through 52 WEEKS OF SCI-FI right now.
You can get it through the link at the bottom of this newsletter.
FALSE VACUUM
Available Oct 29 through to Nov 1 on Amazon.
The third one, FALSE VACUUM, is the final form of a Sci-fi adjacent poetry collection I wrote back in 2015. It has some sneaky references to WBTH, a bit of foreshadowing, and I’d describe it as ‘Bowie-inspired’. Amusingly, one of my beta readers for this told me “I hate most poetry but I like yours” and a few weeks later two other people said the same thing. I have no idea what to do with this information. Am I an anti-poet? Do I exist in my own genre? I know I don’t enjoy spoken word nights if they are about politics, so where do I belong?
With the comedians and sci-fi authors, probably.
You can get it through the link at the bottom of this newsletter.
BRANCH DENSITY
Available Oct 29 through to Nov 1 on Amazon.
The fourth and final free book, BRANCH DENSITY, is the sibling of False Vacuum and takes the poetry further into the realm of fiction. If False Vacuum was blue-shifting closer to myself as a human being, Branch Density is red-shifting away into the imaginary worlds you are arguably more familiar with. If you’re not sure you’ll like it, now is the time to download it, whilst it won’t cost a penny. As we both now know, apparently people who hate poetry enjoy mine.
You can get it through the link at the bottom of this newsletter.
You can get all the books through this link.
There is no limit. You can download them all this weekend for free. There isn’t a quantity limit either, so you can share this link with people and not worry about the eBooks going out of stock.
If there are any technical issues, you can use these text links to get to the UK page for the book you want, and Amazon will then redirect you to your correct territory. If that doesn’t work, you can copy the titles into the Amazon search bar. I should be easy to find. Enjoy!
