I had a motorcycle accident and woke up the next day in a hospital bed without souvenirs, read my name date and hospital’s name on my bracelet. 36 years later I still don’t remember, had a weird feeling about out of body experience then somewhat similar to what’s described. I liked the idea of fooling aliens.
I don’t remember much, felt confused, just knowing I was married and had a motorcycle accident. The evening after the accident, I was confused and kept saying the same six or seven sentences: where’s my bike?, how did you drive here? I used to have a 3 speed manual bronco, the month before we’d bought a newer one with a 351 cubic inches and automatic transmission. My father-in-law joked about having 3 kids and my wife being pregnant for a fourth ( it was our first), I still don’t remember that evening. There was a nurse each time I saw him go by, I’d say I know you, probably the one who admitted me after the accident. I know I drove my bike to a parking close by and the police gave me a ride to the hospital.

It's interesting to hear that other people have had similar neurological events. I guess I'll never know what triggered mine.
The aliens idea is a fun one to explore. Did you feel like a different person when you woke up, or do you not remember who you were pre-accident?
